On a very warm midday in March, we ventured to Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas. To be honest, I’m not sure if I would want to see a bullfight or not, but I knew I wanted to see this building, having not been on my previous trips. The Neo-Mudajar building is a beautiful sight, and the bright sunlight was nearly blinding, making it obvious why the “sombra” seats are the most coveted. That same bright sunlight, made for excellent contrast between the saturated brick, and the gates just inside, highlighting the shapes rather than the details.
