Los Gigantes

Photographed 14 March 2019
8”X12” framed to 11”X14”
The windmills of Consuegra, famously mistaken for giants by El Hidalgo Don Quijote, perch atop a hill above this small town. From a distance, such as this view from Calle Urda, one can see how the old man could mistake the blades of the windmills for raised arms, and go charging off to protect the land.
