In Spanish culture, religion is key, and the Virgin Mary is an important part of that. If you look closely at the window above the door, you will see the image of the Virgin and Child. I’m not sure of the story behind it, but something about that image, surrounded by olive trees in the plains of La Mancha really spoke to me. I only came across the opportunity because it was at the turnout where I had pulled over to take the image “Los Gigantes”.
